Podcast: Mad World

Telegraph columnist, Bryony Gordon, has made no secret of her colourful mental health history. And, in an effort to keep healthy in more ways than one, she even ran the 2017 London Marathon to raise money for the Heads Together; the mental health charity set up by Harry and Wills. Now, through her relatively new podcast series, she's sharing conversations that show how 'feeling weird is the most normal thing in the world'.

'Mad World' made me go for a podcast-length walk the instant it had downloaded every week. Bryony has an effortless interview style and her carefully chosen guests are open, candid and, often, really funny. My personal highlight? A conversation with Mandy Stevens, a former NHS Mental Health Director who talks about the depression that crept up on her and has since altered her approach to treating people with mental health difficulties. Will Young and Jeff Brazier also offer up stellar episodes.

We all have mental health, just like we all have physical health, and we're all operating on a sliding scale, day to day. We just need to get better at finding the words to talk about it and, I think, Bryony is really helping us get there faster.
